What is the reason behind to stop using a Gmail sender address?

On June 1, 2016 Gmail added a new set of ideas in its DMARC policy to prevent the usage of @gmail.com addresses by third party email senders on sending emails to Gmail recipients. They have come up with a plan to reject all the emails to their recipient's inboxes that comes from the Gmail address but not through Gmail and will not be delivered any more.
